DESCRIPTION:Evolve Our Prison Farms was founded in 2016 by Calvin Neufeld and Calvin will be speaking about this project.\nEvolve is a 100% volunteer-run\, supported by experts in law\, criminology\, environmental science\, labour studies\, social work and animal therapy\, as well as hundreds of prisoners and thousands of Canadians.  Evolve Our Prison Farms supports plant-based “green” agriculture which could be coupled with a recognized model of animal-assisted therapy (no slaughter or farming of animals). They oppose the government’s intention to establish prison beef and dairy operations\, and using prisoners to butcher animals in an onsite prison abattoir. \nRefreshments will be served. Q&A

DESCRIPTION:At least twice a year\, NAfA holds a bazaar at the Fairview Mall.  They are well supported events\, both by volunteers and shoppers.  So\, there we are again on Wednesday March 25 and Thursday March 26 at the ‘Zehr’s’ end of the mall – during mall hours.\nWe never know what our donated items will be – but currently have a good selection of glassware\, giftware\, kitchen items\, children’s games/toys\, books\, jewellery\, ‘pet’ supplies\, in-good-condition books\, accessories and more!\nPlease come along and see what bargains you can bag!
