To adopt an animal through NAfA, there is an application process.
The first step is to complete the applicable online adoption application (or in person at one of our adoption centers). Once received, a NAfA volunteer will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your application. Pending approval our volunteers will then complete a standard veterinary reference before arranging for you to visit the animal at the foster home or adoption center.
Kittens under 16 weeks will be adopted on a “foster to adopt” contract, which means that NAfA retains guardianship until they reach an age at which they can be safely spayed/neutered by one of our partnered veterinarians.
