Vegan Cooking Class
A vegan cooking class is now confirmed for Saturday November 30th from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m. (it is being led by Melissa Aubertin, dietician). We are suggesting a small token fee of $10 which will help cover costs of food and of course you get to eat the results of the class. Prison Farms – Sanctuary or Slaughterhouse
Evolve Our Prison Farms was founded in 2016 by Calvin Neufeld and Calvin will be speaking about this project. At least twice a year, NAfA holds a bazaar at the Fairview Mall. They are well supported events, both by volunteers and shoppers. So, there we are again on Wednesday March 25 and Thursday March 26 at the 'Zehr's' end of the mall - during mall hours. Purple Poppy
Staring on the 26th October/'20 - we will be offering our 'purple poppy' in the lead-up to Remembrance Day. Niagara Action for Animals wants to remember the hidden victims and will offer members and friends a purple poppy to wear alongside the traditional red one, in memory of the millions of animals – including horses, mules, donkeys, camels, dogs, pigeons and canaries who were (and are still) used and often killed in war. Watch for our upcoming billboard
In 2022, we are doing a total of 16 weeks advertising on billboards. You will see them mid-June, again in the 2nd week of September, and end of October/1st week of November. The board pictured above was up at the end of March/early April near Gales Gas Bar on Welland Avenue, St. Catharines. We will be changing the image on upcoming boards to include pigs and chickens ...if you drive along Welland Avenue, watch for them!
